Dr. Gelman joined Retina Consultants of Michigan after completing his fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Henry Ford Hospital. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, affiliated with Hebrew University and the Hadassah School of Medicine, where he also served as chief resident of ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Gelman has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, served as an investigator in clinical trials, and lectured on a variety of topics. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Israeli Ophthalmology Society, and the Vit-Buckle Society.
Dr. Gelman is fluent in English, Hebrew and Russian. He also speaks basic Arabic.
Dr. Gelman will be seeing patients in our Southfield and Warren offices.
