Dr. Marla Close is a licensed, residency-trained optometrist with a decade of experience in providing specialized eye care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology from Walsh University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry in 2016. Following her doctorate, Dr. Close completed a dedicated residency in Ocular Disease at the Ohio Eye Alliance, where she refined her expertise in managing complex clinical cases.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Close was recognized for her excellence with the 2nd Year Clinical Skills Award and was a distinguished member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. She is fully board-certified by the NBEO and has been licensed by the Ohio State Board of Optometry since 2016.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Close enjoys staying active through sewing and spending time in the great outdoors. She resides in Northeast Ohio with her husband and their four children.
