  • Efficiently manage incoming calls to schedule patient appointments for routine check-ups, consultations, and procedures with ophthalmologists.
  • Collect and verify patient insurance details to ensure eligibility for ophthalmic services, and provide necessary information regarding coverage and benefits.
  • Address patient inquiries related to services offered, and any concerns related to their eye health.
  • Reach out to patients to schedule follow-up appointments, and send reminders for upcoming visits or procedures.
  • Triage calls for other departments and physician questions.
  • Conducting Preliminary Patient Assessments by gathering patient medical history, including eye-related issues, and performing initial eye screenings.
  • Conducting Diagnostic Testing
  • Assist ophthalmologists in preparing patients for examinations, including explaining procedures, instilling eye drops, and positioning patients for specific tests or treatments.
  • Educate patients about eye conditions, treatment plans, and post-operative care instructions. Demonstrate the proper use of prescribed medications or eye care products.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and billing details. Enter data into the clinic’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Educate patients on their options for surgery and answer any questions they may have.
  • Schedule patient’s surgery and post-operative appointments. Signing all consent forms at the time of their appointment.
  • Explain the patient’s pre-operative and post-operative surgery instructions.
  • Verify patient insurance details to ensure eligibility for ophthalmic services, and provide necessary information regarding coverage and benefits.
  • Address patient inquiries related to services offered, pre-operative instructions, post-operative care, and any concerns related to their eye health.
