Biography

Dr. Kim performs comprehensive primary ocular exams, fits a variety of contact lenses, co-manages post-operative patients, and evaluates patients for diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and other retinal pathology. She also provides treatment options for patients with dry eye syndrome.

She is a participant in the InfantSee and Vision USA programs.

Her professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and past president of the Illinois College of Optometry’s chapter of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Kim earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she currently resides in Hudson with her husband (Dr. Peter Schmid) and their two children.
