Biography

Joanne Briggs, MD joined Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons in May 2024 after practicing in Fairlawn, Ohio for 29 years. She graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and completed her internship in internal medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, and her residency in ophthalmology at Mt.Sinai Hospital in Cleveland. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. Briggs specializes in diagnostics as well as the treatment of glaucoma, dry eyes, allergies, and diabetes. She also has a background in fashion design and enjoys helping her patients with eyeglass frame selection. Originally from northeast Ohio, Dr. Briggs enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and needlepoint.
