Dr. Cosgrove specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology and the surgical treatment of cataracts. He graduated with honors from Albion College with a degree in biology and proceeded to obtain his medical degree at Michigan State University. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital affiliated with Michigan State University, where he served as co-chief resident. During this time he completed extensive research with other leading industry experts and authored multiple manuscripts on topics related to LASIK, neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma. Dr. Cosgrove takes great pride in being an advocate for medical missions and has personally supported missions providing care in both Kenya and Cameroon. He is an active member in multiple professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
