Shamik Bafna is a board-certified ophthalmologist who completed a one-year fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery after his ophthalmology residency. Dr. Bafna has extensive experience treating laser vision correction patients. He has published and presented several peer-reviewed papers in ophthalmology including two chapters on laser vision correction. He has received numerous honors during his time at Cleveland Eye Center including the prestigious Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship Award.
In addition, Dr. Bafna has a unique perspective in treating his patients having had the LASIK procedure himself. Dr. Bafna currently resides with his wife and two children in the greater Cleveland area. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and has visited over 25 countries.
