Dr. Chi started his ophthalmology practice at Eye Care of Medina in 1994 after completing a fellowship in glaucoma at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. He received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine.

He completed a medicine internship at Brown University hospital in Rhode Island and did his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He earned his board certification in 1995 with re-certification in 2005 and 2015. In 2006, Dr. Chi established Ohio Eye Care Consultants, LLC. Dr. Chi specializes in surgery for glaucoma, cataract, and other ocular conditions. He has introduced innovative surgical procedures in cataract and glaucoma surgery to the Medina area including Laser-Assisted and Dropless Cataract surgery. His surgical skills have made him one of the premier surgeons in Northeast Ohio.

He has written articles and given lectures for the professional audience on various ocular diseases and surgical techniques. He teaches ophthalmology residents at Akron city hospital and holds a teaching appointment of assistant clinical professor within the Department of Ophthalmology at Case/University Hospitals. Dr. Chi has been involved in many local and national medical organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has served as past president of the Medina County Medical Society and the Cleveland Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Chi is a tennis enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children.
